Self Love: 10 daily affirmations to get your day started
•Posted on November 21 2022
When you're in the midst of a mental health crisis, it can be hard to get out of bed in the morning. It's even harder when your brain is telling you that you're not worth anything and that nothing will ever get better. But, as with everything else in life, it helps to have some affirmations on hand to remind yourself that things aren't always what they seem. If these 10 daily self-care affirmations don't help lift your mood, there are other ways to take care of yourself when you're struggling with depression or anxiety.
I am worthy of being loved
- I am worthy of being loved.
- You are worthy of love.
- You are worthy of receiving love from others, as well as giving it to others.
This one's simple, but important: you have a right to be loved and to give and receive love without expectations or conditions attached!
If anyone tells you otherwise, know that they're wrong (and probably jealous).
Today is a new day and I am a new person.
Today is a new day, and you are a new person.
Your attitude sets the tone for your day, so it's important to start it with a positive attitude. The way to do this is by taking care of yourself first. Make sure that you're well rested, have eaten something healthy for breakfast, and have had some quiet time for meditation or self-reflection before diving into your day. Having these things in place will help ensure that you'll be able to tackle whatever comes your way with confidence and ease—and will keep your energy levels high throughout the morning!
Once you're feeling good about yourself and have set up an environment where you can thrive (which might include some planning), then affirmations become really useful tools in helping us stay focused on our goals throughout the day by encouraging us to focus on what we want rather than what we fear or worry about most often.
I will make the best choices for my mental health today.
When you make the choice to be mindful of your mental health, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities. You can begin to recognize when your body is telling you that something isn't right and that it needs attention. You can find more balance in life by setting boundaries around your time and energy. And most importantly, we all deserve honesty from ourselves about what we need in order for us to feel good about ourselves.
So today, let's talk about how important it is for us all to make good choices for our mental health—and why this is so important!
Everyone deserves to be loved, including me.
Today's affirmation is simple: Everyone deserves to be loved, including me.
This is an easy one to forget sometimes, especially when you're in a busy or stressful situation. The world can get so loud that we forget what's important in our own lives. When things are going wrong at work, it's easy to think "I'm not good enough." When your friends cancel plans or ignore your text messages, it's easy to think "Nobody cares about me." And when the bills keep coming in and the hours keep adding up and your relationship isn't working out how you want it too—it can feel like nobody cares about you at all!
But everyone does care about you! Your family cares about you; your best friend cares about you; even strangers care about whether or not they'll see their favorite show again next week (it's true). You deserve love just as much as anyone else does—and today I invite us both into a new state of consciousness where we accept this truth as fact.
I choose joy even if it is not justified.
It is not only ok to not be ok, it is also ok to ask for help when you are struggling with your mental health.
When you feel like you are struggling and want to reach out, remember that it will get better and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I am going to make the best choices for my mental health today!
My body is a beautiful gift that I deserve to love and treat well.
My body is a beautiful gift that I deserve to love and treat well.
You've probably heard that you should treat your body like a temple. It's great advice, but there's another way of thinking about this concept: Treating your body like a temple means choosing to spend time with it, rather than rushing through life without giving yourself the care you need. Your body is amazing! It gives you all kinds of amazing things (like the ability to breathe and see), so why wouldn't we want to spend time each day loving our bodies for all their gifts?
